Theater actress Morissette Amon, a self-confessed fan of Sarah Geronimo was able to impressed her idol during the Blind Audition of “The Voice of the Philippines” on Sunday. “Idol na idol ko po talaga siya,” Amon said before she took the stage and sang Beyonce’s “Love on Top.”
Geronimo was the only coach who turned her red chair for Amon.
The 16-year-old Cebuano that is currently based in Manila joined “The Voice” because she believed in her voice capability and wanted to join Sarah’s Team which was granted by the singer.
Morissette Amon played the lead role in Repertory Philippines’ production of “Camp Rock” during the year 2012, he wish was finally granted as Sarah G. was the only coach and judge who turned her red chair.
The other coaches couldn’t help but notice the similarities between Amon and Geronimo.
“The tone of your voice is pretty close to your coach,” noted rocker Bamboo Manalac, while Apl.de.ap said, “I heard some Sarah in there.”
“It will be great na me-mentor niya ako,” Amon said after her audition.
Sarah Geronimo also admitted during the interview portion that Morissette was indeed looks similar to her.
